Midwife-led support during pregnancy, before & after giving birth

Antenatal & postnatal support in Kent & East Sussex, and online

Anxious about giving birth?

Struggling after a difficult labour?

Feeling overwhelmed as a new parent?

Life can feel completely different from how it used to when you’re expecting or looking after a new baby, and it’s easy to think that everyone else is coping just fine.

It’s not uncommon to feel lost or alone.

That’s why we founded Birth Connections

Karen, an experienced midwife and Anne, a therapist and previous midwife, are your go-to experts for listening, education and therapy, supporting you during pregnancy, after childbirth and as you move into parenthood.

Designed to wrap around the support of your NHS midwifery service, we offer you the space to reflect, talk, heal, learn and grow.

Antenatal support, including hypnobirthing classes

Pregnancy can be an anxious time, whether it’s your first child or your fourth. We offer everything from informal support over WhatsApp to in-person antenatal classes in Kent and East Sussex, hypnobirthing classes and antenatal therapy.

“You have been instrumental in helping me have a positive pregnancy and a good birthing experience.”

Postnatal support, including birth trauma support

Having a baby comes with lots of emotions, from the joy of a new life to the difficulties that can follow a traumatic birth experience. We’re here to support you in a way that works for you. From our free coffee mornings and £10 Birth Talks, right up to postnatal and birth resolution therapy, we offer a range of options for postnatal and birth trauma support.

“I found this service immensely helpful and gave me closure on my birth experience. To have the opportunity to discuss what happened, especially the parts which were challenging, was fantastic and genuinely helped me process what happened.”

Upcoming events for new and expectant mums in Kent & East Sussex

Parent & Baby Wellbeing Café – £3 cash (no need to book)

We have met so many lovely mums & dads with their babies over the many months which we have been providing this regular drop-in service & get a lot of satisfaction from providing support & reassurance where needed.

However, these drop-ins do incur running costs and because of this, from March we will be charging £3 for weighing baby/support/advice. This has not been an easy decision for us both to make and would really appreciate your understanding & continued support.

Please bring cash on the day.
